- Reports in person to the school building to provide face-to-face instruction to students
- Able to provide instruction simultaneously to in-person and remote learners, if necessary
- Responsive to changing school and district instructional needs
- Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans

- Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned

- Remains at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by building principal
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility
- Communicates effectively with parents as needed
- Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated
- Monitors students in the classroom, at lunch and throughout the school by maintaining order and discipline
- Perform duties, as assigned, with awareness of Atlanta Public Schools Board policies
- HS Diploma/GED
- Pass a GBI Criminal Background Check (required to attend onboarding)
- Valid or expired Georgia Teacher or Paraprofessional Certificate OR STEDI Substitute Diploma
- Either a valid (or expired) Georgia Clearance Certificate or GACE Educator Ethics Assessment (Test Code 360) completion certificate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to comprehend and follow directives
- Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
- Acceptance and completion of three (3) substitute assignments for face-to-face instruction within the school building with students present, each month

- Transcript from an accredited educational institution confirming completion of your highest level of education
- Valid (or expired) Georgia Teacher's or Paraprofessional Certificate
- If you have not earned either, you will be required to earn the
