You will contribute to the management and financial success of annuity and retirement products by implementing model enhancements, performing model testing, and leading special projects — working closely with the Pricing, Valuation, Planning, and ERM Departments across a broad range of actuarial initiatives.   This position reports to the Director and Actuary and will be remote. SB associates work in a hybrid environment with both remote and on-site work. Work within the model change management framework at Security Benefit, including developing, maintaining, and upgrading the US360 Library in the actuarial system Prophet Maintain and enhance automated processes built for model governance purposes Implement model enhancements and perform model testing, including regression and unit testing Lead and support special actuarial projects in collaboration with the Corporate Modeling Team Employ automation to improve efficiency within the functional area Work effectively with internal and external auditors Assist and mentor junior staff members as needed Collaborate closely with Pricing, Valuation, Planning, and ERM Departments across a broad range of actuarial initiatives   What We’re Looking For: 3+ years of relevant actuarial experience with a minimum of four actuarial exams passed Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Actuarial Science or Mathematics Strong programming and scripting skills, including VBA, C++, C#, SQL, Python, or Java Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and actuarial software Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) credential preferred Experience with Prophet actuarial software preferred; Prophet ALS Library experience is a plus   Why Choose Security Benefit?
