Project type: One-time consultation (possibility of ongoing work)
Project length: Less than 1 week
Experience level: Intermediate to Expert
Timeline: Looking to schedule within the next 2 business days
Overview
We support the Amazon presence for a bestselling nonfiction backlist title (5M+ copies sold, 12,000+ reviews, translated into 35+ languages). We're starting with an update to the current 3rd edition listing, ahead of a 4th edition launching in early 2027. We need a short strategy consultation before we finalize listing updates and set up advertising.
What We Need Help With
Reviewing our current Amazon listing and identifying the highest-impact gaps (title/bullets, A+ Content, backend keywords, category placement)
Recommending an Amazon Advertising strategy (Sponsored Products/Sponsored Brands) appropriate for an established backlist bestseller, including realistic budget guidance
Advising on sequencing: what to fix organically first vs. what to layer in with paid ads
Giving feedback on draft copy, keyword lists, and a comparison-chart concept we've already prepared, so we're not starting from scratch
Flagging anything Amazon-specific we should know before our upcoming 4th edition launch (e.g., managing two editions live at once, pre-order setup)
Ideal Experience
Proven experience with Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Products/Brands) — case studies or results welcome
Experience with Amazon SEO, A+ Content, and category/keyword optimization
Publishing or book-industry experience a strong plus
Comfortable working from existing drafts and giving direct, practical feedback rather than starting a strategy cold
Format
A scoped video call (60–90 min) to walk through our current listing and drafts
A short written summary of recommendations afterward
Open to a follow-on engagement if the fit is right, but this posting is specifically for the initial consultation
How to Apply
Please share relevant experience with Amazon Advertising and listing optimization (case studies, results, or client examples) and your availability in the next 2 business days. Include your standard rate/pricing structure in your proposal so we can compare approaches.
