The Opportunity We are building a top-tier engineering team to build the applications and data products that will power biopharma commercialization in the AI era. We are looking for an experienced software architect who can own application and platform design end to end – the core skillset is an architect who is both strong technically and can quickly grasp complex, domain-specific business requirements. We are not looking for someone who specializes in optimizing a small part of a stack for scale. Role at a Glance Title Software Architect Team Product Engineering Location North America (remote, must work EST) Experience ~8+ years of professional software engineering What You Will Do Design, build, and own applications and tools that power Trinity’s analytics and data platforms Make architectural decisions on data modeling, system design, and agentic orchestration Build for reliability and performance Leverage frontier AI coding assistants as a core part of your workflow to accelerate development, improve code quality, and automate repetitive engineering tasks Collaborate directly with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into system design and development plans Contribute to platform-level concerns such as CI/CD, shared libraries, and developer tooling Mentor other engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and knowledge sharing What We Are Looking For Required ~8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with demonstrated leadership in defining and owning architecture and technical direction for complex software systems Deep understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) including query optimization and data modeling Strong system design and architecture experience; demonstrated ability to define architectural patterns and lead technical projects end-to-end, from scoping and design through delivery and production support Proficiency in .NET and Python Fluent and productive use of AI-powered development tools Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and modern infrastructure patterns (containers, serverless) Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and engage directly with business teams Strongly Preferred Exposure to healthcare, life sciences, or regulated-industry software environments Up to date with rapidly evolving landscape of agentic orchestration tooling; has a point of view on the way forward What Sets You Apart The ideal candidate: Can whiteboard a system design for a complex data model and/or proposed agentic orchestration architecture and then walk a non-technical product owner through the trade-offs in plain language Is genuinely excited about AI-augmented engineering and integrates frontier coding assistants into daily development Excited to help transfer learnings to team members Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field from a top-tier institution Equivalent practical experience will be considered for strong candidates Equal Opportunity Employer Trinity Life Sciences is an equal opportunity employer.
