About the position
Ulteig is seeking a qualified CAD Technician to support the Transmission & Distribution group of engineers. This role involves providing technical drafting support and creating drawings using Microstation and AutoCAD, as well as designs in PLS-CADD, all under close supervision. The successful candidate will complete tasks within the Transmission & Distribution department, focusing on designing/drafting projects, and must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
• Provide technical drafting support to the Transmission & Distribution group of engineers.
• Create drawings in Microstation and AutoCAD.
• Create designs in PLS-CADD under close supervision.
• Complete tasks within the Transmission & Distribution department designing/drafting projects.
Requirements
• Two-year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required
• Knowledge of Microstation is required
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
• Good organization and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule
• Must have permanent authorization to work in US
Nice-to-haves
• Knowledge of PLS-CADD a plus, but not required
• Knowledge in Transmission & Distribution design and drafting would be beneficial
