Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Los Angeles, CA. The Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and review of civil engineering projects, with a focus on infrastructure and sustainable solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and checking design calculations, plans, and technical drawings; assisting with stormwater management analyses; and supporting site development layouts. The role will also involve coordinating with project managers, reviewing construction documents for compliance with standards and codes, and contributing to project schedules and documentation. The Civil Engineer will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications • Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, including familiarity with common standards, codes, and best practices. • Experience or education aligned with Civil Engineering roles (Civil Engineers), demonstrating the ability to contribute to multidisciplinary project teams. • Skills in project Planning related to civil infrastructure, such as scheduling tasks, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting project documentation. • Knowledge of Stormwater Management principles, including drainage design, runoff analysis, and applicable regulatory requirements. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field; EIT certification or progress toward licensure is preferred. • Proficiency with civil design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar) and basic experience with modeling or analysis software is beneficial. • Ability to work on-site in Rosemead, CA, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and manage part-time hours responsibly. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, sustainability, and inclusive work practices.
