Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to prepare 6 - 8 Evalutions a month for children with autism.
Needs to be able to work with IOWA insurance and have an AEP a PLUS.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and a passion for helping individuals navigate their psychological challenges. This role involves providing therapeutic services to a diverse population, including children, families, and adults, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions.
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine patient needs.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy, utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and crisis intervention techniques.
• Develop tailored treatment plans based on patient assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
• Offer specialized counseling services for children and families, including those with autism and PTSD.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns in clinical practices and therapeutic techniques.
• Engage in research activities to contribute to the advancement of psychological practices within the organization.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness and resources.
• Provide telehealth services as needed to accommodate patients' preferences and accessibility.
Requirements
• Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work with IOWA insurance and have an AEP
• Valid state licensure to practice psychology.
• Experience working with children, families, and individuals with disabilities or mental health disorders.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic techniques, including addiction counseling, clinical counseling, group therapy, and psychotherapy.
• Familiarity with psychological testing methods and patient assessment protocols.
• Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and crisis intervention strategies.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred; experience in school settings is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in psychology.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $180.00 - $190.00 per hour
