They are seeking a detail-oriented Consulting Title Abstractor to produce accurate title abstracts and support project workflows, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
- Produce clear, accurate title abstracts and ownership chronologies per project SOPs
- Capture and organize documents from county recorders, courts, and other public sources
- Maintain project logs, document status, and task checklists within internal systems
- Deliver timely updates to project managers and escalate issues that may affect timelines
- Perform quality checks on abstracted work and participate in peer review
- Support ad-hoc operations tasks: indexing, document scanning, and data entry
- Occasionally travel to county recorder offices or field locations within Ohio as needed
Skills
- 1–3 years experience in title abstraction, records research, or a related operations role
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver accurate outputs
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with document management systems (SharePoint or similar) helpful
- Reliable internet and ability to travel locally when required
- Professional, collaborative mindset focused on internal delivery excellence
- Close proximity to Akron / Canton / Youngstown, OH (and surrounding Ohio counties)
