Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customs Brokerage Representative III to join our team on a remote basis. As a key member of our customs brokerage team, you will be responsible for preparing and processing customs entries, communicating with clients and government agencies, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process customs entries, including classification and tariff schedules (HTS)
- Participate in government agencies clearances (PGA), Code of Regulations, and Customs regulations
- Interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers to forward freight to designated locations
- Communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors
- Coordinate freight delivery to designated locations
- Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
- Scan entries into the imaging system meeting allotted and sensitive time requirements
- Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis using various software packages and databases
- Establish and maintain client relationships
- Work a weekend schedule on a department rotation basis and holiday schedule based on the needs of the operation and account requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working for a Customs Broker
- Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations, and other government departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Customers Broker License - Preferred
- Accurate and rapid data entry
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
