About the Role: Data Scientist, Online Marketing
We're seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to support our online marketing initiatives and drive business growth through advanced analytics and data science expertise. As a Data Scientist at Workwarp, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions that enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and inform strategic business decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Solution Development (55%):
- Design and develop algorithms and models to extract insights from large datasets
- Serve as a technical lead for analytics projects and collaborate with project teams
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to drive business outcomes
- Utilize advanced analytical methodologies to identify trends and provide business solutions
- Communicating Results (20%):
- Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Present findings and recommendations to influence business decisions
- Prepare reports, updates, and presentations to stakeholders
- Clearly articulate the impacts of recommendations to drive alignment and implementation
- Business Collaboration (10%):
- Incorporate business knowledge into solution approaches
- Develop trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teams
- Work with project teams and business partners to determine project goals and objectives
- Technical Exploration & Development (15%):
- Stay up-to-date with key developments in data science and analytics
- Participate in the continuous improvement of data science capabilities
- Develop replicable solutions and document processes to ensure solutions are leveraged for future projects
- Build and maintain a library of reusable algorithms for future use
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Hold a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc.) or equivalent degree
- Have a minimum of 3 years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc.) or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in a modern scripting language (preferably Python)
- Proficient running queries against data (preferably with Google BigQuery or SQL)
- Proficient with data visualization software (preferably Tableau)
- Proficient utilizing statistical techniques to identify key insights that help solve business problems
- Knowledgeable in Prescriptive Modeling like optimization, computer vision, recommendation, search, or NLP
- Demonstrated experience in predictive modeling, data mining, and data analysis
