The Role
As a Remote Customer Service Representative - Healthcare Advocate at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service to 50-70 individuals every day, navigating complex healthcare systems and finding solutions to their problems
- Building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing personalized support
- Communicating effectively with customers via phone, email, and other web-based systems
- Managing multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing customer needs, and meeting productivity goals
- Staying up-to-date on industry developments, medical terminology, and benefit plans to provide accurate and informed support
- Collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in insurance operations or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex systems and find solutions
- Proficiency in multiple web-based systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Attention to detail, with the ability to accurately document customer interactions and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare or insurance experience, with knowledge of medical terminology and benefit plans
- Background in social work, behavioral health, or a related field
- Customer service experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional service
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to work independently
