Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Cloud Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Cloud architecture, operational excellence, performance efficiency, reliability, security, and cost. They will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and securing cloud environments, as well as building and maintaining relationships with clients to drive business growth. This position is 100% remote, with occasional travel required to meet the needs of the business, partners, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, build, and maintain enterprise-class cloud solutions for in-house and client environments in Azure and AWS
- Oversee and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
- Implement monitoring solutions and regularly maintain the cloud environment to ensure optimal performance
- Respond to and resolve cloud-related incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations
- Manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs to ensure efficient use of resources and budget
- Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to align cloud operations with business goals
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to continuously improve the cloud environment
- Work closely with clients to architect and implement cloud solutions that meet their business requirements and align with their IT strategy
- Perform technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects
- Assist in the migration of data, applications, and services to the cloud
- Create architecture diagrams, flowcharts, and models that illustrate the necessary cloud solutions
- Manage Cloud Security posture, including vulnerability scanning and threat assessment, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR)
- Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and procedures
Essential Qualifications
- 4+ years of working experience as a Cloud operations and Security Engineer
- 4+ years of experience in cloud technologies, especially in AWS and Azure, with overall cloud computing experience of 8-10 years
- Experience in developing and implementing SecOps practices
- Experience in creating Cloud-based infrastructure as per business requirements and within the company framework
- Relevant professional certifications, such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, and Microsoft SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in creating infrastructure within secure VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) of AWS or Vnets in Azure
- Knowledge of Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud security offerings, including features, benefits, use cases, and competitive differentiators
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts, cybersecurity principles, and common security threats
- Knowledge of Data protection, encryption, network security, Security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), compliance standards, and cloud architecture
- Understanding of Security Governance and compliance, Industry standards and regulations like ISO, CIS, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc.

- Passionate about security and privacy with an excellent understanding of the principles and technologies involved
- Promotes security throughout the organization, encouraging teams to adopt practices and technologies that improve our and our customers' security posture
- Proactively spot opportunities within our own or a customer's infrastructure where there are potential security gaps and recommend new or existing tools or processes to remediate
- Good understanding of modern engineering patterns and tools
- Consultative approach to sales, focusing on understanding the customer's unique security needs and challenges
- Industry Knowledge about industry trends, emerging threats, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape in cloud security
- Designing and implementing secure cloud architectures with industry best practices and organizational requirements
- Security Testing and Assessment: Proficiency in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning of cloud environments

- Provide a single point of contact for the reporting and tracking of issues
