Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Flight Operations Manager to join our team. As a Flight Operations Manager at Wisk, you will play a critical role in leading a team that is building the future of aviation towards our operational approvals as a US Part 135 Air Carrier. You will be part of the Wisk Airline team, reporting to the Director of the Wisk Airline, and manage the US-based airline team as part of a wider global operations team. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in maintaining a global focus between the US and APAC and continuing to develop the operational capability of the airline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team in developing the future of aviation towards operational approvals as a US Part 135 Air Carrier
- Manage the US-based airline team as part of a wider global operations team
- Assist the Director of the Airline in maintaining a global focus between the US and APAC
- Develop new procedures, guide the development of manuals, and autonomous systems for our autonomous and multi-operator system
- Work closely with the Wisk Operational Validation team to validate new Airline procedures, techniques, and skills
- Oversee the Flight Operation simulation and software development
- Engage with regulatory agencies such as the FAA and represent Wisk at Industry events related to flight operations
- Support Wisk's Global Partnerships team with technical expertise and develop third-party relationships for Vertiport Operations, Providers of UAM Services (PSUs), and Communication providers in the US
- Establish an Autonomous aircraft training center in the US
- Coordinate go-to-market strategies with the Wisk Global Partnership and Go-to-Market team
- Link closely with Finance to meet financial objectives
Essential Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Demonstrated experience in management roles and technical roles in the Aviation industry
- Hands-on experience with flight operations, including the conduct of operational validation activities
- Good understanding of complex airspace regulations, especially as they relate to instrumented flight rules
- Familiarity with US FAA Part 135 operations, as well as US Part 91, 61, and 43
- Strong communication skills and ability to tailor communications to suit the audience
- Ability to adapt quickly and propose changes needed to achieve early results in a timely fashion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with either a Part 121 or Part 135 Air Carrier in an operational capacity and/or flight experience
- Understanding of engineering processes and software development
- Familiarity with US FAA Part 145 and the role of the MRO in supporting an Airline
- Experience with industry Requests for Information/Proposals (RFI/RFP) and contract establishment with emerging AAM industry infrastructure, airspace, communication, and other providers

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $141,945 - $166,994 per year, depending on experience and location.
