JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics seeks to hire undergraduate students, recent graduates, or graduate students to work part-time as a Telescope Assistant throughout the 2023/2024 academic year. Candidates will lead and grade rooftop telescope activities and virtual activities for introductory astronomy students on weeknights, including observations with the Schmidt and Dobsonian telescopes and virtual activities with Stellarium. Experience using Davey Lab's rooftop telescopes is desired and availability for 5-10 hours per week in the evenings is necessary. Selected candidates will report to Dr. Julia Kregenow.
