The Intermittent Monitoring Technologist is directly responsible for patient monitoring and support throughout the recording period, working collaboratively and professionally with staff to ensure high-quality patient care and recording integrity. This role emphasizes thorough patient checks, accurate documentation, and minimal-error technical troubleshooting, and embodies the culture and values of Synthesys Brain Health in every interaction with patients, staff, and partners. This is a remote, weekend, night-shift role (covering second and/or third shifts). Compensation includes a $1.00/hour shift differential for second shift, and a $2.00/hour shift differential for third shift, applied to all hours worked on those respective schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor up to 12 patients per CPT intermittent monitoring standards, prioritizing thorough checks so no shifts or tasks are missed.
Document recording/video concerns, equipment issues, and impedances at each monitoring check.
Troubleshoot equipment and recording integrity remotely, with or without patient or clinical team involvement, and ensure timely follow-up.
Make daily patient calls for skin and event checks, when appropriate.
Complete setups, disconnects, battery changes, and maintenance verifications per policy, including remote battery changes and memory card swaps.
Document and report skin condition incidents and early disconnects via email; provide immediate follow-up documentation and communicate incidents to Department Directors.
Provide end-of-shift reports to incoming Technologists.
Assist staff with positive interpretation of patient changes.
Participate in performance and quality improvement activities and maintain ongoing training and skills development.
Adapt to fluctuating schedules according to departmental needs.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical EEG monitoring experience required.
Certification: Active ABRET credential (R. EEG T. or equivalent registration) required, with a strong understanding of professional ABRET data and recording standards.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to handle minimal-error technical troubleshooting and remote equipment management.

Maintain current status on all annual company requirements.
Work a minimum of 8 shifts per month.
Adhere strictly to company policies for patient checks and recording integrity.
Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and professionalism in all duties.
Remain calm and confident when handling difficult situations with patients and caregivers.
