Junior Event Production Coordinator Travel the country. Produce world-class business events. Build your career. Location: Remote (U.S.) with approximately 15–20 weeks of national travel each year. When you're not onsite producing events, you'll work remotely from your home office. In this role, you'll help plan and produce some of the nation's largest business-to-business trade shows while working alongside experienced event professionals. You'll travel to major cities across the country, work behind the scenes to bring large-scale events to life, and play an important role in delivering exceptional experiences for thousands of attendees and exhibitors. Learn more at TheSmallBusinessExpo.com WHAT YOU'LL DO You'll be involved in nearly every aspect of producing our national events, including: • Assist with the planning, coordination, production, and execution of live events from concept through post-show wrap-up. • Travel nationwide to support onsite setup, event operations, troubleshooting, and teardown. • Coordinate vendors, suppliers, contractors, and venue partners. • Work closely with labor unions and labor crews during event setup and breakdown. • Assist in managing onsite temporary staff and event personnel. • Coordinate with our AV, IT, Client Services, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure flawless execution. • Help manage event timelines, production schedules, logistics, and project communications. • Maintain production checklists, floor plans, event specifications, permits, and project documentation. • Track budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. • Assist in managing audiovisual production, technology, internet, staging, lighting, and presentation logistics. • Continuously identify ways to improve processes, streamline operations, and elevate the exhibitor and attendee experience. • Be a calm, resourceful problem solver when unexpected challenges arise onsite. WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who is: • Highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented. • A self-starter who takes ownership and follows through. • Does not need to be micro-managed and will complete projects quickly, efficiently and error-free • Extremely resourceful with online research and AI • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Professional, positive, and enjoys working with people. • Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. • Calm under pressure and an excellent problem solver. • Excited about traveling and producing live events across the country. QUALIFICATIONS • 2+ years of experience in event production, event planning, trade shows, experiential marketing, conferences, or related industries. • Strong organizational and project management skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Excellent with researching online and using AI platforms • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. • Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses. • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively. • Ability to travel approximately 40% of the year. • Must have a quiet place to work from home with a fast and stable internet connection. Preferred Qualifications • Trade show or conference production experience. • Touring or road production experience. • Experience working with labor unions. • Experience coordinating vendors and venue operations. • AV production knowledge including sound, lighting, projection, microphones, and presentation systems. • Experience with event floor plans, logistics, scheduling, and production timelines. COMPENSATION $50,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and skill set. Performance-based salary increases and advancement opportunities are available for exceptional performers.
