As a Legal Proofreader, your exceptional listening skills and unwavering commitment to accuracy will play a pivotal role in transforming recorded legal proceedings into flawless written documents. We suggest being able to commit to at least 20 physical hours per week. Also well-qualified for this role would include: court reporter, paralegal, scopist, attorney, legal secretary, legal editor.

Candidate Minimum Requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to commit to 20+ physical hours per week
· Minimum of 3 years’ legal industry proofreading experience, preferably reviewing filings, pleadings, as well as transcripts
- Ability to ensure all transcripts meet or surpass 98% accuracy with strong attention to detail and research capabilities as well as exceptional listening skills for verbatim transcription
- Exceptional written communication skills (proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar)
- Working knowledge of legal formatting requirements such as Bluebook OR any style guide such as GPO, GAO, Chicago, Associated Press, etc.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word

Compensation: Per-page rate with occasional incentive increase based on performance
