Overview
LPT Realty is seeking a full-time Managing Broker to support and guide agents operating within the state of California. This role is designed for a highly service-oriented broker who thrives in an agent-first environment and is passionate about supporting agent success through compliance oversight, transaction guidance, and California-specific regulatory expertise.
Managing Brokers are a critical part of LPT Realty’s multi-layered support structure, working in partnership with Agent Support, Compliance, and Transaction Operations to provide a seamless, full-circle experience for our agents. In this California-focused role, you will also carry an active responsibility supporting compliance file review as part of the brokerage’s ongoing risk management efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Support & Guidance
Serve as the primary escalation point for agents on complex broker-related matters, including compliance, contract interpretation, and California-specific regulations
Provide timely, thoughtful guidance to agents navigating California Department of Real Estate (DRE) requirements, C.A.R. forms, and state disclosure obligations
Maintain an agent-first mindset, delivering high-quality support with professionalism and responsiveness
Support agents on California-specific transaction nuances, including TDS/NHD disclosures, FIRPTA considerations, and local MLS compliance
Compliance & Risk Management
Actively participate in compliance file review, ensuring transaction files meet California DRE standards and LPT Realty brokerage requirements
Conduct routine and high-volume file audits, flagging deficiencies and working with agents to resolve outstanding items
Ensure brokerage activities align with California state and local real estate laws and regulations
Partner closely with the Compliance team to mitigate risk, uphold brokerage standards, and support a culture of compliance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work alongside Agent Support, Compliance, and Transaction Operations to deliver a cohesive support experience for California agents
Collaborate with leadership and the Executive Growth team to support larger teams and brokerages entering the California market
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and support systems, with a California regulatory lens
Operational Efficiency & Systems Usage
Manage and respond to agent inquiries through the company ticketing system, ensuring quick turnaround times
Utilize internal and external platforms including LPT Connect, SkySlope, Dotloop, and other brokerage systems
Maintain accurate documentation and communication within all systems
Qualifications
Active California Real Estate Broker license (required); residency in California is not required
Recent and demonstrated experience as a licensed broker actively supporting real estate agents in California
Strong knowledge of California real estate law, DRE regulations, C.A.R. contracts, and state-specific compliance requirements
Experience with compliance file review, including familiarity with California transaction documentation standards
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven, fully remote environment
Experience with transaction management systems (e.g., SkySlope, Dotloop) preferred
