Marketing Lead

Content:

• Collaborate with leaders in the dYdX ecosystem to engage DYDX token holders and shape the broader ecosystem news narrative.
• Flesh out and amplify the dYdX Foundation in channel-native ways across the crypto ecosystem.
• Define and oversee communications and content strategy across blogs, social media, website, and other channels.
• Position dYdX Foundation as a thought leader through content initiatives, ecosystem reports, speaking engagements, and industry contributions.
• Collaborate with designers to develop high-impact marketing assets aligned with overall brand and messaging strategy to enhance engagement and results.
• Help to promote uniformity and consistency of dYdX Foundation brand.
• Lead design and content of semi-annual dYdX ecosystem reports and monthly analyst calls.

Partnerships:

• Develop and execute strategic marketing partnerships with key stakeholders in the DeFi and trading ecosystems.
• Manage and work with key dYdX ecosystem teams in local countries.
• Partner with ecosystem leaders to engage DYDX token holders and amplify community initiatives.

Leadership and Management:

• Oversee all Foundation ecosystem marketing initiatives, setting quarterly KPIs and annual budgets, focusing on data-driven decision-making.
• Lead strategic communications planning and execution, including public relations, media relations, KOL, grantees and social media for the DYDX Foundation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing efforts with business goals and drive ecosystem growth.

• European time zone based (+/- 3 hours)
• Crypto native with a strong background and 2+ years of experience in a crypto / DeFi / trading / tech marketing leadership role
• Proven track record of building and engaging vibrant online communities, with a flair for storytelling, and content creation (including GIFs and memes)
• Analytical mindset with experience leveraging social media insights to drive strategy and growth.
• Excellent understanding of governance processes and experience with investor relations
• Dynamic, creative thinker who can adapt to the fast-paced, evolving landscape of DeFi
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of cross-functional collaboration and influencing without authority
• Strong understanding of blockchain tech, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
• Self-starter - able to create work streams and execute end-to-end based on marketing opportunities 
• Structured, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple relationships and stakeholders simultaneously
• Proficient in task management systems, specifically Notion
• Creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving
