• Own lifecycle of relational database environments across dev–pro
• Ensure uptime, performance, resiliency, and data protectio
• Monitor systems; prevent, detect, and resolve issues proactivel
• Manage backups, recovery, upgrades, and migrations with minimal disruptio
• Optimize queries, schemas, and indexing for efficiency at scal
• Support high-availability and replication architecture
• Enforce access control, encryption, and audit readines
• Partner with engineering on schema design, ETL, and data workflow
• Contribute to capacity planning and infrastructure decision

Required Skill
• 5+ years production database administration (large-scale datasets
• Strong SQL (complex queries, procedures, indexing, partitioning
• Deep knowledge of storage engines, transactions, and concurrenc
• Experience with replication, clustering, and failover strategie
• Backup/recovery expertise and disaster recovery executio
• Performance tuning (query analysis, configuration optimization
• Familiarity with monitoring/alerting tools and metrics (latency, uptime
• Scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Bash
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and incident response skill
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation
