The Network Integration Engineer (NIE, hereafter) will be responsible for assessing, engineer, and implement changes to client network infrastructure based upon the customer's stated and inferred goals. Often client goals and intentions shift at various points depending on cycling resource and priority, so a strong set of communications skills with an investigatory capacity built in and a tolerance for constant change are fundamental to the position. Points of clarification are often needed during the discovery phase of what's being attempted in the network because 100% of the required information is not always immediately made known--the NIE will be required to grasp the overall intent and conceptually understand what items are missing and work towards securing answers that ultimately make the projects successful.
