Company: LabABLE (www.labable.ai) Location: Fully Remote Type: Part-Time / MVP feature development Time Commitment: 2–4 hours per week About LabABLE LabABLE is building an AI-native laboratory operations platform and open marketplace for modern labs. Our platform helps labs move beyond spreadsheets, manual logs, fragmented workflows, and rigid legacy LIMS by providing an open platform for workflow automation, sample tracking, QC alerts, audit logs, dashboards, data parsing, integrations, shared workflows, and future AI-assisted lab tools. Think Github + Zapier for LabOps. We are not an idea-only startup. LabABLE has an MVP built, active pilot work, waitlist signups, multiple LOIs/MOUs, and pilot/design partner conversations with labs, universities, and integration partners. We have been part of Launch.co Founder University and are currently in the Plug & Play ecosystem. Our team brings serious domain and technical experience across medicine, healthcare operations, laboratory workflows, AI, data architecture, cybersecurity, LIMS, QA/QC, and scientific commercialization. The founding team includes a physician-co-founder, a software/operational co-founder, a CTO with 15+ years in data/BI/analytics and cybersecurity, an AI/data science leader, and scientific/commercial advisors with lab, healthcare, and LIMS backgrounds. About the Role We are looking for a part-time full-stack developer who wants to help build a meaningful health tech and lab operations open platform while keeping their current full-time role. This is ideal for someone who wants startup upside, can contribute a few focused hours per week, and is comfortable working in a fast-moving early-stage environment. You will help improve and extend the LabABLE MVP, support pilot-related development, and build features tied to real lab use cases. This may include workflow automation, equipment/protocol modules and management, sample tracking, dashboards, file uploads, data parsing, audit logs, role-based access, integrations, and open marketplace/community features. Much of our platform is already built out and additional development will go towards adding additional features and specific functionality to the platform. We are looking for a builder with the right skill set who fits the team well, sees the vision, can grow with the team and company, and can transition to full-time as we scale, where we can offer appropriate market-rate salary compensation and additional equity incentives. There will be constant support from the founding team including the Co-Founders, CTO, CAIO, CCO, and advisors. Technical Stack You should have experience with some or most of the following: • Next.js / React / TypeScript • Tailwind CSS and modern component libraries such as shadcn/ui • Node.js and API development • MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL/Supabase • Authentication, protected routes, and role-based access control • Google Cloud Platform • REST APIs, webhooks, integrations, and data adapters • File upload and parsing workflows for CSV, Excel, JSON, PDF, or similar formats • Audit logging, secure data handling, and basic cloud security practices Responsibilities • Contribute 3–4 focused hours per week to MVP and pilot development • Build and refine full-stack features across frontend, backend, APIs, and database layers • Support pilot workflows for labs, universities, and design partners • Improve platform reliability, usability, and performance • Help build structured modules for workflows, sample tracking, equipment logs, protocols, dashboards, and data parsing • Collaborate with founders, technical leadership, and domain experts • Help document technical decisions, feature updates, and implementation notes Preferred Background • Plus if you have experience in health tech, lab software, LIMS, biotech, clinical diagnostics, research software, regulated data environments, or related fields. • Familiarity with HIPAA, audit logs, data integrity, compliance workflows, or role-based permissions is a plus but not mandatory. • Experience building SaaS products, marketplaces, workflow tools, dashboards, or integration-heavy platforms • Comfort working with early-stage startups where priorities move quickly Compensation This is an early-stage, part-time startup role with meaningful equity upside and milestone-based cash payments. Cash compensation is limited at this stage and tied to agreed development milestones. You do not need to leave your current job. This role is designed for someone who wants to contribute a few hours per week, build with an experienced team, and participate in the upside as LabABLE grows. We understand working in startups is risky, and we are cognizant of everyone’s full time jobs. We will work around the team's schedules as needed and provide the necessary support. Why Join LabABLE is building infrastructure for the future of science. Labs are critical to diagnostics, biotech, public health, and research, but many still rely on outdated tools and manual processes. We are creating a platform that helps labs operate more efficiently while also building an open ecosystem where scientists, labs, consultants, developers, and partners can share reusable workflows, tools, templates, and integrations. If you are a strong full-stack developer interested in health tech, AI, lab automation, and startup equity upside, we would love to hear from you. To apply, please send your resume, GitHub/portfolio if available, LinkedIn profile, and a brief note on why you are interested in LabABLE. Pay: $1,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: • Flexible schedule • Work from home Work Location: Remote
