If you are a software leader and has experience with influencing others, this might be the role for you!The Software Engineer Principal IT is responsible for ensuring technology solutions are designed to meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional and operational readiness use cases. This position is responsible for ongoing development, maintenance, support and architecture of existing systems and platforms. This position provides thought leadership and champions software architecture, software engineering best practices, innovative solutioning and Agile and Dev Ops best practices.Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring technology solutions are designed to meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional and operational readiness use cases
• Responsible for ongoing development, maintenance and support of existing systems and platforms
• Provide thought leadership and champion software engineering best practices, innovative solutioning and Agile and Dev Ops best practices
• Participate in staffing plans to identify subject matter experts (SMEs) and provide feedback for staff performance reviews
• Own technology solutions within area, including proactive monitoring and alerting, technological roadmap communication of overall health and future sustainability
• Partner with Architecture, Infrastructure and Security to ensure excellence in solution design and evolution of systems architecture
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

• 8 years of extensive technical experience in variety of application development or package software implementations
• Proven experience of ongoing education related to technology trends within software development and support
• Proven experience with multiple development and support methodologies
• Ability to manage work direction and lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within team
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Tech Skills

• GCP and AWS. Redshift experience.
• Java full stack.
• Mongo and Postgres or strong database skills
• WS02
• Dynatrace

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering
• Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
• Previous experience working an in Agile/Product Delivery model
• Understanding of security implications of domain
• Previous experience in PBM / health care industry

Physical Demands

• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and shifts outside of Prime's core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as needed for technical support and/or project needs
• Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
