Must have exp with agriculture, farming, or geo spatial Position Overview Front-End React Developer to support the development and enhancement of a key application within its Product Development (PD) organization in R&D. This role will focus on building and scaling a new seasonal dashboard feature that enables seed representatives and territory managers to visualize performance insights and make data-driven decisions. This position is heavily front-end focused (approximately 90%) and requires a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong ownership, and can independently drive feature delivery and improvements. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain front-end features using React and TypeScript • Support the launch and stabilization of a new seasonal dashboard feature, including bug fixes and performance improvements • Build and enhance UI components based on product and design requirements • Collaborate with backend and API teams to integrate data and ensure seamless user experiences • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, standups, and code reviews • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and usability • Contribute to clean, maintainable, and scalable code practices • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, making decisions and solving problems independently Required Qualifications • Strong, recent experience developing applications using React and TypeScript • Experience building modern, scalable front-end architectures • Proven ability to debug and optimize production applications • Experience working in Agile development environments • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration • Ability to work independently and handle competing priorities Preferred Qualifications • Experience with React PDF or document rendering tools (highly preferred) • Familiarity with TRPC or Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns • Exposure to serverless architectures (AWS Lambda or similar) • Basic understanding of backend systems (Python preferred over Node.js for context) • Experience in agriculture, agronomy, or related domains • Exposure to GIS or spatial data applications Project Overview This role will support a Seasonal Dashboard application designed to provide a high-level view of agricultural performance across regions. Key Functionality Includes: • Tracking planting progress • Monitoring potential weather impacts • Supporting operational decision-making • Providing post-harvest performance insights Technical Environment Front-End (Primary Focus) • React (TypeScript) • Monorepo architecture (Granular / Fabric3) • TRPC (Backend-for-Frontend pattern) • GitLab Backend (Supporting Context) • Python-based AWS Lambda APIs • Postgres database • Node.js Lambda functions (React PDF / document generation) Additional Notes • Front-end development is the priority; backend work is minimal • Familiarity with API integration and serverless environments is beneficial
