Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Polston Tax is a full-service tax and accounting firm founded in 2001, dedicated to helping clients manage their tax obligations. The Accounting Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounting department by managing client communications and assisting with various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the accounting department operates smoothly
- Communicate with all new clients to confirm what services we are going to provide and what documents are required to move forward
- Follow-up with current clients on a regular basis regarding pending documents and the status of their account via phone, email, and/or text
- Assist with quarterly payroll filings for clients as well as setting up proper government entity accounts for filing
- Assist with data entry and the preparation of financial reports
- Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc
- Communicate with clients via phone, email, and/or in-person
- Work remotely when the office is closed due to inclement weather, power outage etc
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's software systems
- Mastery of bookkeeping software with strong typing skills
- Expertise with computers and software, such as MS Excel or QuickBooks
- 1 year of relevant work experience of accounting administration
- Access to the following equipment to perform the required work duties
- A computer, laptop, monitor, tablet and/or smart phone
- Internet - a minimum of 50 Mbps internet service with a recommended speed of 100 Mbps for optimal performance
- Satisfactory background and reference checks
- Associate degree (preferred)
