Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Aline Accounting Partners is building a Tax & Accounting firm where careers can thrive. They are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee client portfolios, manage a team of accountants, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, serving as a primary point of contact for accounting and financial reporting matters
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants located in the Philippines
- Review monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and other client deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes across multiple client engagements
- Provide guidance on U.S. GAAP accounting matters, including technical accounting issues as needed
- Lead client meetings, present financial results, and communicate recommendations and insights
- Review general ledger activity, journal entries, and supporting workpapers
- Ensure client deadlines are met while maintaining a high standard of service and accuracy
- Assist with process improvements and implementation of best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Collaborate with firm leadership to support client service initiatives and team development
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of public accounting experience
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and leading client relationships
- Experience supervising and developing accounting teams
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and cloud-based accounting platforms
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, or Oracle
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842 preferred
- Experience serving government contractors highly preferred
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
