Piper Companies is seeking a Clinical Research Associate specializing in Cardiology or Neurology to support clinical trials within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. The Clinical Research Associate role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience monitoring cardiovascular or neurological studies and ensuring compliance with regulatory and protocol requirements throughout the lifecycle of the clinical trial.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site monitoring visits (on-site and remote) for cardiology or neurology clinical trials to ensure protocol adherence, GCP compliance, and data integrity
- Review and verify clinical data, source documentation, and case report forms (CRFs/eCRFs)
- Ensure patient safety through adverse event reporting, serious adverse event follow-up, and safety documentation review
- Collaborate with investigators, site staff, and cross-functional clinical teams to support study execution
- Identify, document, and resolve site issues, protocol deviations, and data queries in a timely manner
- Assist with site initiation, interim monitoring, and close-out visits
- Maintain accurate trial master file (TMF) documentation and monitoring reports
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related field
- 2+ years of Clinical Research Associate experience monitoring clinical trials
- Hands-on experience with cardiology and/or neurology therapeutic areas
- Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and FDA regulations
- Experience working with EDC systems, CTMS, and eTMF platforms
- Ability to travel 8-10 days per month required by study needs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
