The Ohio State University is seeking a Clinical Research Associate Coordinator to join the LIFT Lab and Learning Health Systems Collaborative team. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing clinical research activities, overseeing participant processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and executing clinical research activities in alignment with approved study protocols and institutional standards
- Overseeing participant identification, recruitment, enrollment, and informed consent processes
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, sponsor, and ethical requirements
- Educating participants and their families on study objectives and procedures
- Managing scheduling and adherence to protocol-specific visits
- Monitoring participant safety, including the identification and reporting of adverse events to appropriate clinical and regulatory stakeholders
- Supporting the collection, processing, and evaluation of study data
- Applying standardized study measures
- Ensuring accurate data extraction, coding, analysis, and reporting to maintain data integrity
- Supporting Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and compliance activities
- Preparing for audits and quality reviews
- Supporting the development of new research protocols and study goals
- Contributing to evidence-informed planning and outcomes improvement efforts related to healthcare delivery, education, and research
- Assisting in the coordination and mentorship of Student Research Assistants involved in aligned project
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or other medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience required
