Our Assembly Operations team is the engine that turns visionary designs into reliable, high‑performance systems that run 24/7 for millions of users worldwide. As a remote Data Entry Engineer, you will be a critical link in the supply‑chain chain, ensuring that product data, test plans, and manufacturing documentation are accurate, timely, and actionable.
Why This Role Matters
In today’s hyper‑connected world, even a single data error can cascade into production delays, increased costs, and reduced customer satisfaction. careerzynith’s commitment to excellence means we need meticulous professionals who can translate complex engineering specifications into clean, structured data that drives our manufacturing lines. This position offers a unique blend of technical insight, cross‑functional collaboration, and remote flexibility, allowing you to make a tangible impact on the reliability and performance of the hardware that powers the modern internet.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management & Entry: Accurately input and maintain product specifications, bill of materials (BOM), test plans, and engineering change orders (ECOs) into careerzynith’s Product Data Management (PDM) system.
- Supply‑Chain Coordination: Work closely with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and component suppliers to verify part numbers, lead times, and compliance documentation.
- Test Plan Development: Assist Product Engineers in creating detailed validation and qualification test plans for ASICs, GPUs, FPGAs, and other high‑performance silicon.
- Process Improvement: Lead surveys and analyses across Design and Manufacturing to drive Design‑for‑Excellence (DFX) initiatives and improve yield.
- Quality Assurance Collaboration: Partner with Quality Engineers to define reliability targets, review test results, and ensure that product performance meets stringent specifications.
- Remote Support: Provide on‑site assistance to manufacturing partners when needed, while primarily operating remotely from any location with reliable internet connectivity.
- Documentation & Reporting: Generate clear, concise reports on product status, test outcomes, and supply‑chain health for senior leadership review.
- Cross‑Functional Communication: Serve as a liaison between Product Management, Design Architecture, and Manufacturing Operations to align expectations and resolve data discrepancies.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment, preferably within a supply‑chain or product engineering context.
- Hands‑on experience working with ODMs, CMs, and component suppliers for server‑class hardware (e.g., GPUs, FPGAs, ASICs).
- Strong understanding of ASIC Design‑for‑Test (DFT) methodologies, Automated Test Equipment (ATE) processes, and post‑silicon validation.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and scripting experience in Python or similar languages.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans for complex electronic assemblies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and precision.
Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with hardware description languages (HDL) and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) analysis and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA).
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies within hardware development teams.
- Ability to travel up to 5 days per month to manufacturing sites in Guadalajara, MX, or other global locations as required.
Core Competencies for Success
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect complex technical documents and translate them into actionable data entries.
- Detail Orientation: Meticulous attention to detail to prevent data inconsistencies that could affect production.
- Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills to work effectively with engineers, quality specialists, and external partners.
- Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to identifying root causes of data gaps and implementing corrective actions.
- Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment with shifting priorities.
