The Amazon PPC Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of PPC specialists while developing and executing high-performing Amazon advertising strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five Amazon PPC Specialists
- Set performance goals and monitor team productivity
- Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture
- Develop and implement comprehensive Amazon PPC strategies across multiple brands
- Align advertising initiatives with overall business objectives
- Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance and profitability
- Stay updated on Amazon advertising trends and best practices
- Launch, monitor, and optimize Amazon PPC campaigns
- Manage Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display campaigns
- Optimize campaign structure, bidding strategies, and targeting
- Allocate advertising budgets efficiently to maximize ROI
- Conduct detailed keyword research and competitive analysis
- Identify high-performing keywords and negative keywords
- Optimize keyword targeting to improve campaign efficiency
- Continuously refine campaigns based on search term performance
- Analyze campaign performance using Amazon Advertising reports and analytics tools
- Monitor KPIs including: ROAS, ACOS, TACOS, CTR, CPC, Conversion Rate
- Generate actionable insights for campaign improvement
- Manage Amazon advertising budgets exceeding $300,000
- Optimize budget allocation across campaigns and product portfolios
- Monitor advertising spend and profitability
- Ensure maximum return on advertising investment
- Partner with Marketing, Product Development, and other internal teams
- Align PPC initiatives with product launches and promotional campaigns
- Support business growth through integrated marketing strategies
- Prepare regular campaign performance reports
- Present KPIs, trends, and optimization recommendations
- Communicate campaign insights to leadership
- Support strategic decision-making with data-driven analysis
- Ensure all campaigns comply with Amazon Advertising policies
- Stay informed about platform updates and advertising guidelines
- Implement best practices across all advertising activities
Skills
- Minimum 3 years of Amazon PPC advertising experience
- Minimum 3 years of team leadership or PPC management experience
- Proven experience managing Amazon advertising budgets exceeding $300K
- Strong knowledge of Amazon Advertising platform and campaign optimization
- Experience within the eCommerce or Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) industry
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience managing multiple Amazon brands
- Background in pet products or consumer goods
- Advanced expertise in advertising analytics and performance reporting
- Experience working with international remote teams
