Focuslight Technologies is seeking a Director of Business Development to manage all aspects of business development within their territory. The role involves collaborating with the sales team, defining sales strategies, and building senior-level customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to exceed yearly revenue objectives and MBO targets
- Manage all aspects of business development within territory, including market segment/product strategy (with PLM), lead generation, prospect development, design funnel progression and senior level customer relationship building
- Work with sales to define and implement winning sales strategies at large key accounts
- Personally grow deep customer and partner relationships at a senior level, within our target markets
- Be seen as a thought leader at key industry events and conferences, to promote Focuslight strategic themes
- Establish and drive a strong M&A and partnership funnel, to deliver on inorganic growth opportunities
- Provide clear BD guidance to Focuslight senior leadership team
Skills
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in a professional and international BD/sales environment
- 10+ years of experience in either CE or Optical Communications markets
- Self-motivated team player, ideally with previous experience in working with China based companies
- Proven track record of driving profitable growth through best-in-class business development
- Strategic thinker with a goal-oriented and ‘hands on' mindset
- Proven negotiation skills in closing deals with large international customers
- Ability to travel ~40% of the time within region and occasionally internationally
