Arriello is a global provider of Pharmacovigilance, Quality & Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs services to pharmaceutical and life sciences companies. They are seeking a Global Drug Safety Project & Account Manager to lead Pharmacovigilance projects, manage client relationships, and ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage assigned Global Drug Safety projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to closure
- Ensure project delivery aligns with contractual scope, timelines, budget, quality standards, and client expectations
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, governance structures, and tracking tools
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective resource allocation
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project delivery and operational efficiency
- Seek opportunities to simplify processes and enhance project execution
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Develop a thorough understanding of client objectives, priorities, and business needs
- Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns and potential risks
- Identify opportunities for account growth, service expansion, and upselling
- Support business development activities, including project scoping and client discussions where required
- Monitor project budgets, burn rates, resource utilization, and overall profitability
- Ensure accurate tracking of project effort, costs, and billable activities
- Support revenue forecasting and cost management activities
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing processes
- Maximize revenue recoverability through effective project oversight
- Manage scope changes and escalate deviations appropriately
- Support financial reporting and project performance reviews
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project execution
- Foster strong collaboration across departments and functions
- Lead project meetings, governance reviews, and client discussions
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive project culture
- Work closely with functional leaders to ensure appropriate support and resource allocation
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation
- Prepare and deliver regular project and account reports
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Support internal and external audits and inspections as required
- Ensure timely management and closure of CAPAs related to assigned projects and accounts
Skills
- Primary degree in a relevant scientific discipline or a business-related degree with demonstrated experience in a regulated life sciences environment
- Proven experience working in a Project Management environment across multiple countries and/or managing complex projects
- Proven experience in Account Management within a client-facing environment
- Minimum of 2 years' experience implementing and working within a structured project management framework
- Experience within Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety, Clinical Safety, or a related regulated function is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills
- Fluent verbal and written English
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional approach
- Ability to provide guidance, coaching, and support to colleagues
- Excellent team player with the ability to bring people together and build collaborative working relationships
- Maintains a positive, results-oriented work environment
- Previous experience working for a life sciences service provider, CRO, or consultancy is preferred
- Formal project management qualification or accreditation would be preferred
