The Planet Group is a global organization seeking a Finance-oriented Payroll Transformation Consultant to lead a payroll modernization initiative. The role focuses on payroll process redesign, financial impact analysis, and change management to align payroll practices with global standards and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Transition Payroll to Arrears
- Develop the transition strategy, implementation timeline, and required process changes
- Assess financial, operational, and employee impacts
- Provide recommendations and decision support to the CFO and leadership team
- Create employee communication and change management plans
- Evaluate the current payroll process, where cutoffs occur 1–1.5 weeks before pay date
- Identify inefficiencies, approval bottlenecks, and compliance risks
- Recommend an improved payroll operating model
- Develop an implementation roadmap to improve payroll accuracy and timeliness
Skills
- 10+ years relevant experience, Payroll integrations
- Degree
- Has done the work AND provided high level guidance to ELT/C-Suite
- Proven experience leading payroll or finance transformation initiatives
- Expertise in payroll process redesign, payroll timing changes, and large-scale process improvements
- Ability to assess financial, operational, and employee impacts
- Strong partnership experience with CFOs and executive leadership
- Experience leading cross-functional change management efforts
