Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Alliance Animal Health is a fast-growing private equity backed Veterinary Service Organization. They are seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst to join their business development team, where the candidate will analyze financial information, update financial models, and support due diligence for M&A opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial information from practice owners, participate in internal investment committee discussions, and address follow-up questions and concerns
- Update financial models to assess the profitability of target hospitals
- Assist in drafting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for target practices
- Prepare deal summaries and presentations for the investment committee, executive team, and prospective sellers
- Support due diligence by reviewing financial statements and bank records, reconciling reported results to source data, and flagging risks and adjustments for the deal team
Skills
- 2+ years accounting / corporate finance experience, preferably in a multi-unit healthcare environment. Areas of analysis focus should include historical key metrics such as profitability, revenue mix, labor ratios, client mix, location demographics and other business insights
- A BS/BA from a 4-year accredited institution is required
- Experience preparing financial & market analysis of specific geographic areas to determine deal viability and growth opportunity
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required with a focus on manipulating large data sets
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to support financial analysis and presentation development, with curiosity to explore new applications as our team's AI capabilities expand
- Exceptional organizational and attention to detail skills
- Efficient worker capable of working in a remote environment while remaining highly collaborative with the team
- Experience performing detailed forecasts of acquisitions
- Results driven, high work integrity and positive, can-do attitude and professional outlook
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Animal Health or multi-site healthcare experience and finance / accounting industry background is strongly preferred
