Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oxford Economics, a leading economic forecasting and consulting firm, is seeking a motivated and ambitious Manager of Cruise Analytics. The role focuses on supporting the Cruise Intelligence Platform and overseeing cruise-related datasets, while engaging with clients and representing the company in industry discussions.
Responsibilities
- Support and oversee the Cruise-IP data environment, including monthly updates of deployment and pricing datasets, the Cruise Ship Database, and the Cruise Orderbook, as well as associated cruise forecasts
- Contribute to analytical projects and research initiatives, supporting broader consulting engagements where required
- Ensure project deliverables are clear, accurate, and well-structured, and tailored appropriately for different client audiences
- Support the development of presentations and research briefings used for client engagement and marketing materials that demonstrate the value of our services
- Play an active role in client discussions, presentations, and meetings, clearly communicating analytical insights and key cruise industry trends affecting client businesses
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact for cruise-related insights and analysis
- Represent Tourism Economics in external engagements, including industry events, conferences, and client forums where appropriate
- Respond to client queries with clear, accurate, and timely inputs
- Contribute to thought leadership by helping shape narratives around cruise industry trends, risks, and opportunities
Skills
- Ability to produce high-quality project deliverables with strong structure and clarity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across offices and international locations
- Degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline, such as Statistics or Applied Mathematics
- Minimum two years of professional experience in a cruise analytics or related analytical role
- Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end analytical work independently, including data preparation, model development, validation, and interpretation, particularly in forecasting applications
- Strong understanding of the cruise industry and its key dynamics, with the ability to apply this knowledge to deliver meaningful insights and value to clients
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, with experience working with large-scale market datasets
- Working knowledge of business intelligence tools; experience with Tableau is preferred but not required, and familiarity with SQL is desirable
- High attention to detail and a structured, task-oriented approach to work
- Strong problem-solving skills, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of reports and analytical outputs
- Experience in a client-facing role, including responding to client queries and supporting the development of commercial relationships
- Experience working with large datasets related to cruise industry activity
