The Medicaid Business Intelligence Engineer role involves solving complex business problems using data to provide insights for decision-makers, supporting data development, reporting, and visualization for Medicaid Risk Adjustment and related programs. The position requires managing Big Data and data quality, creating innovative solutions, and aligning work with organizational strategy.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
- Support development of data and creation of processes, reporting, and visualizations for all Humana Healthy Horizons Medicaid Risk Adjustment, prospective programs, and interoperability
- Take initiative to create innovative solutions to complex business problems
- Manage Big Data and data quality in databricks
- Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas
- Make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and require minimal direction and receive guidance where needed
- Follow established guidelines/procedures
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in Python and Pandas Python library
- 2+ years of experience in Jupyter Notebook environment
- 2+ years of experience in Databricks Platform
- 2+ years of experience in Microsoft PowerBI or other data visualization software
- 2+ years of experience working with Big Data and performing root cause analysis
- 2+ years of experience in business ownership of data processes
- In depth experience in Microsoft Office including Excel formulas, pivots, charts, graphs, etc
- Experience in Managed Care
- Experience in Medicaid
- Experience in risk adjustment
- Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques
- Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions
- Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
