Thornburg Investment Management is a global investment firm delivering on strategy for institutions, financial professionals, and investors worldwide. The Private Wealth Consultant will execute a focused sales strategy within the Western Region, positioning Thornburg’s products to financial advisors and driving sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to develop and execute consultative sales strategies that will maximize market penetration and increase buyer loyalty across stated segmentation
- Maintain advisors in their assigned territory focusing on the service and growth of these long-term relationships
- Utilize technology and data effectively while adhering to TIM best practices
- Apply proficient and thorough use of CRM systems to manage territory activity, track advisor interactions, and support effective sales execution; leverage Salesforce when applicable
- Partner respectfully and collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing and other cross-functional partners, to ensure alignment with business strategy, capitalize on opportunities, and address specific challenges
- Promote strong collaboration across the organization, maximizing synergies within other channels of distribution
- Work closely with the corresponding Advisor Solutions Investment Consultant to ensure proper coverage and success of all remaining Advisor Solutions advisors in the territory
- Perform other job duties assigned as necessary
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of experience covering large financial advisors and professional buyers with proven track record
- Strong knowledge of asset allocation theory, portfolio construction, investment manager due diligence and modern portfolio theory
- FINRA Series 7 & 66 required, or equivalent of
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining long-term relationships
- Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory required
- High degree of initiative results oriented and entrepreneurial thinking
- Highly engaged, enthusiastic, and a collaborative team player
- MBA, professional designations a plus
- Analytical or research experience within Asset Management, Investment Consulting or Wealth Management is preferred
