Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DataX Connect is a leading owner's representative consultancy delivering major hyperscale data center projects in North America. They are seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of these projects, working closely with project managers, contractors, and client stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Managing RFIs, submittals and change orders
- Coordinating project documentation using Procore
- Supporting schedule reviews and tracking project progress
- Conducting regular site walks and safety observations
- Coordinating owner-furnished equipment (OFCI) with project teams
- Assisting with payment applications, procurement and financial tracking
- Supporting commissioning activities and project turnover
- Building strong relationships across contractors, vendors and client teams
Skills
- 1-3 years' experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience within commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, mission-critical or data center construction
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude and a desire to build a long-term career within data center construction
- Exposure to both CSA and MEP construction activities is highly desirable
- Procore experience is an advantage
