The role involves leading electric transmission and substation projects from planning through execution.
Responsibilities
- Manage transmission and substation engineering and/or capital projects from initiation through closeout
- Lead project scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and client communication
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, contractors, and utility partners
- Support project planning, resource allocation, change management, and project reporting
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
Skills
- Manage transmission and substation engineering and/or capital projects from initiation through closeout
- Lead project scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and client communication
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, contractors, and utility partners
- Support project planning, resource allocation, change management, and project reporting
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
- We're interested in speaking with Project Managers who have experience delivering power delivery projects—not commercial construction, IT, software, manufacturing, or unrelated industries
- 8+ years of project management experience supporting electric utility transmission and/or substation projects
- Experience managing projects for an electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting firm strongly preferred
- Background in transmission lines, substations, protection & control, physical design, or utility capital projects
- Experience with projects ranging from 69kV–500kV is a plus
- PMP certification is a plus but not required
