Sorcero is a Certified B Corp headquartered in Washington, DC, focused on transforming life sciences decision-making through its medical AI platform. The Sales Director role is key to driving the adoption of Sorcero’s platform by life sciences manufacturers, requiring expertise in Enterprise SaaS sales and a collaborative approach to achieving sales and revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Identify customers and build relationships in target accounts. Understand customer needs and processes and establish the Sorcero value proposition in meeting the customer needs. Develop a pipeline to achieve annual sales targets
- Perform demonstrations of Sorcero’s platform offering both on site and via the web. Promote the benefits tied to a business need, use case and customer benefit
- Work with revenue operations and solutions team to develop proposals, and with the implementation team to ensure that the platform implementation is done to scope and customer expectations. Work with the marketing team to improve customer communication
- Maintain CRM hygiene by updating opportunity status on a weekly basis. Collaborate with revenue operations to ensure revenue and sales numbers are accurately reported. Work with Sorcero executive team to establish and negotiate contract value and close deals
- Collect and document competitive intelligence to drive a differentiated solutions strategy. Keep customer tracker documents updated during each selling and implementation stage. Ensure that each new customer team member is onboarded and aware of the customer history
- Actively participate in company meetings with sales managers and other functional team members. Support team members in assigned internal initiatives. Be fearless and solution oriented
Skills
- Bachelor's or advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, PhD)
- 10+ years of software sales experience
- 5+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience
- Experience in selling to medical, safety and commercial functions in life sciences (biotech and pharmaceutical) firms, a plus
- Successful track record of building deep business relationships with executives in large or highly strategic life science customers and delivery partners
- Deep understanding of the life science organizational structure, buyers, and buying processes
- Discipline to manage pipeline and execution in CRM System (Hubspot)
- Knowledge of and experience with big data and analytics needed. Experience with life science data sets, vendors and competitive landscape, a plus
- Knowledge of the state-of-the-art in NLP, NLU, NLG, and Deep Learning Language Models
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage with all levels of management and present complicated technical concepts in layman's terms; make the complex, simple
- Excellent planning, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Effective team player and collaborator with the ability to work across Marketing, Solutions, Implementation, Product Development and Engineering business lines
