Accelyst, LLC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support strategic healthcare initiatives focused on Revenue Management, Payment Integrity, Data Quality, and Operational Excellence. This role involves acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements, improve processes, and ensure data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and system requirements
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, operational teams, and technical teams
- Support Revenue Management, Payment Integrity, Claims, Provider, Membership, and Financial Operations initiatives
- Perform data analysis, data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis to ensure data quality and integrity
- Develop business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and use cases
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements workshops, and solution design sessions
- Execute and coordinate requirements management and change management processes
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend opportunities for improvement and operational efficiencies
- Support project planning activities including scope definition, impact assessments, risk identification, and solution evaluation
- Partner with business and IT teams to ensure requirements are properly translated into system solutions
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and implementation activities
- Develop training materials, knowledge transfer documentation, and end-user support resources
- Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives and provide guidance to junior analysts when needed
- Consider business implications of proposed solutions on current and future operational environments
- Provide reporting, metrics, and executive-level status updates as required
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Healthcare payer, health insurance, managed care, or healthcare operations experience
- Experience supporting Revenue Management, Revenue Cycle, Payment Integrity, Claims, Provider, Membership, or Financial Operations initiatives
- Strong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
- Experience performing data analysis, reconciliation, validation, and data quality assessments
- Experience supporting full project lifecycle activities from requirements through implementation
- Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams
- Experience with Payment Integrity programs
- Knowledge of healthcare claims processing, reimbursement, and revenue management operations
- SQL experience for data validation and analysis
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or enterprise reporting tools
- Experience supporting enterprise PMO, governance, or transformation initiatives
- Agile and/or Waterfall project experience
- Healthcare payer systems experience
- Experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, and business process documentation
