Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Turquoise Health is a Series C price transparency platform for finance leaders across healthcare. In this role, you will join the Spines team to help eliminate the financial complexity of healthcare by building and maintaining data infrastructure and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with Product and subject matter experts to conceptualize, prototype, and build data solutions
- Build, unify, augment multi-source healthcare datasets into high-quality, Analytics-ready data models that power internal and external products
- Build and maintain data engineering systems that support a wide range of downstream processes and products
- Contribute to building, maintaining, and testing data pipelines
- Draft internal and external technical documentation
- Seek and prioritize technical and product feedback from internal customers
- Iterate quickly with an eye towards value
Skills
- 4+ years of experience developing data models, pipelines, and end-to-end analytical solutions using Python and SQL
- Ability to design data systems with scalability, performance, and cost efficiency in mind, particularly for compute- and data-intensive workloads
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Strong grasp of data architecture and engineering practices, including ETL/ELT workflows, orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt), and cloud-based storage (e.g., S3, Redshift)
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you prioritize tasks with an eye for evolving business needs
- Comfortable working remotely in a collaborative, technical team
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience/knowledge. We are happy to work with strong candidates with non-traditional educational backgrounds
- Revenue cycle, healthcare payments and/or medical billing experience
- Thoughtful use of AI coding agents and LLMs in development workflows
- Knowledge of healthcare entities, how they work together and how they are structured
- Strong experience in a research intensive field
