Cognizant is a leading technology and engineering company, and they are seeking a Senior Facets Claims Integration Engineer specializing in healthcare. This role involves implementing and supporting integration logic for healthcare claims processing, focusing on the Facets platform and HIPAA Gateway transactions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and support inbound 837 and outbound 835 transaction processing using the Facets HIPAA Gateway
- Build and maintain data transformations and validations aligned with Facets data models and claims processing workflows
- Work with the Facets external claims database and related interfaces to support data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting
- Configure and support execution of batch jobs related to claims processing activities
- Troubleshoot end‑to‑end claims processing issues, including rejects, errors, and reconciliation gaps
- Collaborate closely with EDI and Facets teams to ensure proper transaction flow and data integrity across systems
- Support parity validation activities between source claims data and adjudicated outputs
- Operate effectively with minimal ramp‑up in an accelerated POC delivery environment
Skills
- Hands‑on experience with Facets, including data models, claims processing, and integration points
- Strong experience with Facets HIPAA Gateway, supporting 837 and 835 transactions
- Experience working with the Facets external claims database and related data structures
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills
- Proven experience troubleshooting claims processing issues in a Facets environment
- Solid understanding of X12 transactions, specifically 837 and 835
- Experience supporting healthcare system integrations or Proofs of Concept (POCs)
- Prior collaboration with EDI teams in payer environments
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to transaction and data integrity
- Ability to work independently and deliver results in fast‑moving delivery timelines
