Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. hyrUP is partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed SaaS company to hire a Senior Revenue Accountant. This role involves reviewing customer contracts, analyzing revenue recognition implications under ASC 606, and collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate revenue treatment throughout the order-to-cash process.
Responsibilities
- Review customer contracts and analyze revenue recognition implications under ASC 606
- Partner with Sales and Order Management to evaluate new opportunities and contract structures
- Monitor Salesforce opportunities and ensure accurate revenue treatment throughout the order-to-cash process
- Research and apply technical revenue accounting guidance while supporting day-to-day revenue operations
- Help drive revenue process improvements and support ongoing systems initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Sales Operations, Legal, and executive leadership
Skills
- Experience in Public Accounting, ideally auditing SaaS clients followed by experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition in a SaaS or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of both the operational and technical aspects of revenue accounting
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in a hands-on role
- Experience reviewing contracts and supporting complex revenue arrangements
- Salesforce experience is a strong plus
- CPA is preferred but not required
