About the Role
This virtual Special Education Teacher position supports K–12 students across Texas through remote instruction and IEP-based services. The role focuses on delivering specially designed instruction, maintaining compliance, and collaborating with educational teams to support student achievement in a structured virtual environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide virtual special education instruction aligned with student IEP goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Collect and analyze student progress data to support instructional decisions
• Administor Case Management for K-12 Students
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Support accommodations, modifications, and individualized learning plans
Requirements
• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Active Texas Special Education teaching certification
• School-based special education experience preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Experience providing instruction in a virtual or remote setting preferred
• Teaching certification may be required depending on district.
