[Remote] Sr Programmer-Sr Data Scientist/Analys Real-World Data (SAS/R)

The role of Sr Programmer-Sr Data Scientist involves programming in SAS or R, conducting longitudinal cohort studies, and applying epidemiological methods to analyze real-world data.

Responsibilities

• Highly proficient in SAS or R
• Extensive familiarity with commercial claims and EHR databases, such as Optum, MarketScan, IQVIA PharMetrics, or HealthVerity
• Ability to conduct longitudinal cohort studies, including creating study cohorts, baseline and outcome variables from scratch
• Solid understanding of epidemiologic study designs and methodologies
• Hands-on experience with basic statistical tests, regression models, and survival analysis
• Assess quality of the data
• Protocol and SAP review and input
• Conduct analyses (programming of TFLs)

Skills

• Highly proficient in SAS or R
• Extensive familiarity with commercial claims and EHR databases, such as Optum, MarketScan, IQVIA PharMetrics, or HealthVerity
• Ability to conduct longitudinal cohort studies, including creating study cohorts, baseline and outcome variables from scratch
• Solid understanding of epidemiologic study designs and methodologies
• Hands-on experience with basic statistical tests, regression models, and survival analysis
• Advanced degree in Biostatistics or Epidemiology
• Undergraduate degree, preferably in a scientific or statistical discipline; in lieu of degree, an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated programming experience
• Extensive programming experience in SAS or other required software, preferably in a clinical trial environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry, but not necessarily
