The Senior Sales Commission Analyst will administer and analyze complex sales compensation plans, ensuring accurate commission calculations and timely payouts while serving as a subject matter expert for Sales, Finance, and Commercial Operations.
Responsibilities
- Administer sales incentive compensation plans, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with plan documents and internal controls
- Serve as subject matter expert for commission plans, providing guidance to Sales, Finance, and management on plan interpretation, eligibility, and payout mechanics
- Analyze commission results, trends, and variances; prepare detailed reports and insights to support sales leadership, finance, and commercial operations decision‑making
- Investigate and resolve complex commission disputes and escalations, exercising independent judgment and recommending corrective actions or process improvements
- Drive continuous improvement of commission processes, documentation, controls, and reporting, including automation and standardization initiatives
- Lead annual territory planning process across Ascend Learnings sales organization
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of sales compensation principles, incentive plan structures, and commission accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field required
- 5+ years of experience in sales compensation, commission analysis, finance, or a related analytical role
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and reporting tools required
- Experience supporting multi‑component incentive compensation plans
