This role involves supporting financial reporting, account reconciliations, and assisting with audit-related activities while ensuring the accuracy of financial documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of internal financial reports and assist with general accounting activities
- Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation of supporting schedules and analyses
- Compile and organize financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation
- Assist with account reconciliations and investigate variances as needed
- Participate in audit-related activities, including gathering documentation and assisting with audit requests
- Help prepare journal entries and support closing activities with appropriate documentation
- Perform variance analysis on budget verses actual results and assist in identifying key drivers
- Support cash activity tracking, including bank reconciliations
- Assist in maintaining and analyzing expense and contract-related data
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand operational and financial trends and support reporting needs
- Provide support for budgeting processes and other financial planning activities
- Contribute to ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, including experience with month-end close, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivots, lookup functions)
- Solid organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- ERP system experience (e.g., SAP) is a plus
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus
