They are seeking a Technical Writer responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation for a federal client program.
Responsibilities
- Review and revise technical documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, formatting compliance, and version control
- Maintain document repositories and support configuration/document management processes
- Ensure all documentation complies with applicable federal, client, and organizational standards
- Assist with documenting system changes, upgrades, testing procedures, and operational workflows
- Participate in project meetings and working sessions to capture requirements, updates, and action items related to documentation deliverables
- Track documentation deliverables and support timely submission of contract deliverables and reporting requirements
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance documentation processes, templates, and standards
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field (e.g., English, Technical Writing, Communications, or related discipline), or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of relevant professional experience in technical writing, documentation development, or related roles
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely
- Experience with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and/or MadCap Flare
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with federal government policies and regulatory requirements
- Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance
