Storm2 is a well-funded, fast-growing cross-border payments company that helps businesses move money internationally with speed and transparency. They are seeking a VP of Finance to build the finance function from the ground up, establishing necessary processes and systems while working directly with the founders as a strategic partner.
Responsibilities
- FP&A: Build the planning and analysis capability from scratch, own the operating model and key metrics, and deliver board-ready reporting
- Budgeting: Design and run the budgeting and reforecasting process, and partner with department leads on headcount and spend planning
- Finance Operations: Stand up scalable finance operations across billing, AP/AR, treasury, and cash management in a multi-currency environment, and select the core finance tech stack
- Accounting: Own the accounting function, including the monthly close, reconciliations, audit readiness, and management of external advisors
Skills
- Senior finance experience within fintech, ideally payments, cross-border, or FX
- A track record of building finance functions in early-stage, 0 to 1 environments
- Strong command across FP&A, budgeting, finance operations, and accounting
- Experience partnering with founders and presenting to boards and investors
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, remote-first startup
